Application of Morphological Difference Filter and Morphological Index to Slipper Wear of Hydraulic Pump Condition Assessment

Abstract

Aiming at the slipper wear of hydraulic pump condition assessment, a new method that can effectively diagnose slipper wear fault and assess its deterioration degrees is proposed. The method is based on morphological difference filter and morphological index (MI). Firstly, the normal vibration signal and slipper wear fault vibration signals of four deterioration degrees are filtered by morphological difference filter to get the clear feature information. Secondly, the dimensional parameters and dimensionless parameters are extracted from the signals and the dimensional parameters include the MI firstly introduced in the field of hydraulic pump health condition assessment. Lastly, by analyzing the sensitivity of MI to slipper wear fault and its deterioration degrees, the conclusion is that MI can effectively diagnose the fault of slipper wear and assess its deterioration degrees.
