Abstract

To study vibration characteristics of certain vehicular Gatling gun under external excitation, virtual prototype technique is proposed to analyze forced vibration of this gun system. Firstly the topological structure of the gun system and the loading are analyzed, and rigid-flexible coupling model of vehicular Gatling gun is built with ADAMS. Then, the weapon's vibration equations are established. Virtual prototype model is used to simulate and test vibration characteristics of vehicular Gatling gun. Road surface excitation and vehicle speed excitation are especially researched to get the vibration response under different excitations. The calculation results provide reference for vehicular gun test and parameter matching and optimization, which lay the foundation for improving the firing accuracy.
