Analysis of Tire Structure Vibration Acoustic Contribution and Noise Reduction Method

Abstract

Taking the radial heavy duty tire 295/80R22.5 as the object of the research, this paper establishes a three dimensional finite element analysis model,based on which the computational modal analysis are conducted.Comparison between computational modal analysis and experimental tests show that they have good consistency,proving the accuracy of finite element analysis model.In order to study tire vibration noise,the boundary element model of the tire is built and the acoustic contribution of every panel of tire contour structure is acquired with MATV technology.It is testified that tread and sidewall are the positive acoustic structure,using amplitude-phase method.In order to reduce tire structure vibration noise,a sound-absorption material polyurethane is introduced to tire tread and sidewall.The noise analysis results show that polyurethane material can effectively decrease the vibration acceleration responses of the tread and sidewall,reducing the tire vibration noise .
