Research on Overlappling Group thresholding denoising method based on Dual-tree complex wavelet packet transform

Abstract

In order to solve the problem that the early mechanical fault characteristics were not obvious affected by the strong background noise, an overlappling group thresholding denoising method based on dual-tree complex wavelet packet transform was proposed. The signal was sparse decomposed based on dual-tree complex wavelet packet which has the characteristic of shift-invariant and limited redundancy. The overlappling group thresholding denoising method based on dual-tree complex wavelet packet transform was builded which captured the neighborhood correlation and large-amplitude coefficients form clusters. The denoised model was based on the minimization of a convex cost function incorporating a mixed norm. Then parameters select optimization of the denoised model were analysised. Simulation and experimental results show that the effects of noise reduction were all satisfactory for different signals with different level of noise by this method, the background noise was restrained effectively and the signal noise ratio was well improved.
