Probabilistic Model of Dynamic Time History for Barge-Rigid Wall Collison

Abstract

With consideration of the random nature of barge-bridge collision, 6 barges with difference tonnage were modeled to get the dynamic time history probabilistic model sample of barge-rigid wall oblique collision. LS-DYNA was used for numerical simulation, and 36 curves of the dynamic time history with 6 velocities were obtained. These curves were non-dimensionalized, and dimensionless curve of dynamic time history were obtained. Furthermore, the expressions of mean impact force and duration with tonnage and velocity were known. 21 discrete points were used to express the dimensionless curves approximately and statistical analysis was conducted at each discrete points. The results show that the dimensionless impact forces of every discrete section are normally distributed, and then the mean value and standard deviation are obtained. According to the random number generation technology, the sample curve of barge-rigid wall oblique collision is generated. Comparison the artificial probabilistic model sample with numerical simulation curve verifies that this technical approach has a better accuracy.
