Dynamic Characteristics Analysis on Paver Tamper Mechanism Based on Virtual Prototyping Technology

Abstract

When the tamper mechanism of paver is working, the composite motion of the beam will have an impact on the screed. The virtual prototype model of 9.0m double-tamper mechanism is established and simulated by the simulation software-ADAMS .The impact regularity of the vibrating beam inertia force and moment of inertia as a result of the vibration frequency , vibration amplitude and phase relationships is obtained. The result of analysis shows that the inertia force of the vibrating beams increases greatly with the vibration speed increasing, and the uniformity gets worse. It has a little effect on the frame of flatiron-box when we take the phase angle as 60° in practice.
