Abstract

In order to study the powertrain components fracture occurred in the variable-speed durability enhancement phase, the non-contact torque telemeter is used to make real vehicle test of test drive shaft torque, speed and other related data. LMS-TecWare fatigue load processing software is used to calculate the fatigue industry distribution loading spectrum and thus analyze the fracture failure mechanism. The variable-speed circulation test of five kinds of working conditions showed that in the odd lifting condition, in the case of the 3rd gear 1 less, the maximum "reversing drag" negative impact torque occurred. The torsional stress excelled the part yield limit and result in local plastic deformation, causing permanent damage and crack extension. Test the fatigue facture of each circulation is 2.3565×10-7. The accumulated damage increases with the increase of number of circulation times. The cycle variable speed powertrain parts finally had low fatigue fracture.
