The pump building of CPR1000 nuclear power plants as seismic category I structure, the calculation of earthquake action and the sliding stability analysis under the ultimate safety ground motion(SL-2) is the very important part for the pump building structural design and the stability analysis. Comparative analysis of earthquake action and the sliding stability analysis is carried out based on the lumped parameter models recommended by seismic design codes of ASCE4-98 and viscous-spring artificial boundary model and massless foundation model. Finally, the rule of the earthquake action and the sliding stability analysis with different sites and the different dynamic numerical site models for this certain lumped mass model of pump building is summed up.
