The estimation of the signal to noise ratio in the planar acoustical holography

Abstract

The complex pressure signal to noise ratio on the acoustic holography surface has a great influence on the precision of the reconstruction results, however it cannot be measured directly. To solve this problem, the method of two-dimension wavelet analysis was proposed, and the effects of wavelet function and the decompose level were analyzed, which would make a decision for the parameters of the two-dimension wavelet analysis. The proposed method was validated by suing a synthetic sound field created by a point-drive, simply supported plated. The result showed that the two-dimension wavelet analysis for the complex pressure signal to noise ratio was feasible
