Along with the fast growth on operation time and mileage of China's high-speed railway, its underline structures have appeared many diseases and defects, such as through cracks, segregations, voids and so on. Due to the primary defaults on construction and negative pressure in operation, the segregations are universally appeared in CA mortar layer and what’s more, serious cracks and damages are exited in somewhere. These mentioned defects will lead to overlarge vibration and safety problems on running carriages. Aimed at the characteristics of defects in CA mortar layer, a combination rapid detection method of three-dimensional array is developed based on the elastic wave propagation in multi-layer medium. By three-dimensional finite element simulation and field tests, the key technical problems of this method are studied, including evaluation standard, detection accuracy and efficiency. The results show that this method is feasible for detection on segregations and defects in CA mortar, as well as its advantages on convenient data acquisition, good testing speed and high precision.
