Electromagnetic velocity sensor for linear impact mechanisms

Abstract

Aiming at performances of high frequency,high speed and hard to detect of a linear impact mechanism,the electromagnetic induction testing method was proposed to deter and analyze its impact characteristics.Then,the electro-magnetic field simulation model of the detection system was built with ANSYS Maxwell.Through the comparative analysis between simulation results and test ones,the feasibility of the electromagnetic induction testing method and the correctness of the electromagnetic field simulation model were verified.Furthermore,the influences of cylinder material,number of windings and location of windings on the performances of an electromagnetic velocity sensor were analyzed.The results provided an effective basis for measuring impact features and parameters of linear impact mechanisms.
