Control of a dual shaking tables vibration test system

Abstract

A multiple shaking tables test system is a new prospect in long span or full-scale structures vibration simulations.The vibration control is a key technology for multiple shaking tables simulations.The control performance has a great influence on the assessment of the reliability of structures.The dual shaking tables test system consists of a redundantly driven two-axis electro-hydraulic shaking table and a two-axis electo-dyanmic shaking table.The attitude control of the electro-dynamic shaking table,the acceleration control loop and redundant force control loop of the electro-hydraulic shaking table were presented to control the two shaking tables separately.The shaking tables control system was developed based on a distributed control structure.The sine and random vibration tests show the effectiveness of the proposed controller.
