Onorbit identification of the modal parameters of a membrane antenna system

Abstract

The eigensystem realization algorithm (ERA) was used to identify the modal parameters of a membrane antenna system. The configuration of the membrane system and then the basic theory of ERA were introduced. The modal parameters of a flexible beam and the membrane antenna system were identified by the ERA. The simulation results indicate that the ERA is effective to identify the lowerorder natural frequencies and modal shapes of the membrane antenna system.
