Experimental investigation of the seismic damage effect of foundation on frame-core tube structures considering foundation soil based on the wavelet packet energy

Abstract

To investigate the influence of soil on the seismic response of high-rise buildings with a frame-core tube structure, two shaking table test models were built; a fix-based model and a soil-structure dynamic interaction model.The time history of acceleration gauged at each floors under the excitation of different seismic waves and the white noise sweeping data gauged before and after the excitation of seismic were obtained through the shaking table test.For the first time, the energy distribution, vibration frequency, and damage location of the two test models were compared and analyzed under the excitation of different seismic based on the theorem of wavelet packet energy.The results show that the soil can significantly reduce the energy absorbed by the superstructure and vibration frequency, and change the energy distribution and damage position of the structure.
