Forced vibration characteristics analysis of a cylindrical shell structure

Abstract

The vibration characteristics of cylindrical shells are studied by a semi analytical method.Firstly, based on the theory of regional energy decomposition and the Reissner-Naghdi’s linear thin shell theory, a cylindrical shell structure was divided into several shell segments along the radial direction, and the solution model of the cylindrical shell structure under general boundary conditions was derived.The displacement function of the cylindrical shell structure was expanded by Chebyshev determinant and Fourier series, and the Least-square residuals were introduced to eliminate computational instability.Finally, the forced vibration characteristics of the cylindrical shell structure were analyzed, and the correctness of the method was verified by finite element simulation calculations.The influence of boundary conditions and characteristics of cylindrical shell structures on the forced vibration characteristics of cylindrical shells was studied.
