Longitudinal seismic response of ballastless railway bridges considering traveling wave effect

Abstract

In order to study the longitudinal seismic response of ballastless railway bridge considering traveling wave effect, a high-speed railway continuous beam and 32 m simply supported beam bridge were selected as the research object, and the track constraint model and the traditional full bridge model were established respectively.Based on the absolute displacement input method (ADM), the influence of traveling wave effect on the seismic response of two different seismic systems (ductility and isolation) of railway bridges was analyzed.The results showed that for the ductile seismic system, the influence of the traveling wave on the curvature of the pier bottom is more favorable for the structural response, and for the seismic isolation system, the influence of the traveling wave on the internal force at the bottom of the pier is less obvious than that of the ductile seismic system.In the two kinds of seismic systems, the change of the relative displacement of piers and beams should be considered to prevent the collision of adjacent beams.The influence of traveling wave effect on orbital system should be paid more attention to so as to avoid distortion due to excessive axial force.Under different apparent wave velocities, the horizontal shear distribution of shear grooves on simply supported and continuous beams fluctuates, and the resistance of shear grooves on simply supported beams should be strengthened.The quasi-static component in the traveling wave has a significant contribution to the seismic response of the track system, and the dynamic component dominates the pier seismic response, both of which determine the total seismic response.
