Transmission rate analysis of nonlinear metal rubber based on a hysteresis loop model

Abstract

Theoretical and experimental researches on the transfer characteristics of a nonlinear metal-rubber isolator were carried out.Based on a nonlinear hysteresis model with dry friction damping, the averaging method was used to get the frequency-response function.The transfer rate in different motion states and the probability of realizing no resonance in the system were inspected.The critical dry friction force and unlocked frequency were determined through the frequency-response function.Dynamic tests of the isolator were performed，and the mechanics parameters of the isolator were identified by the test data．Finally，the theoretical results were verified by vibration tests．The results provide a new way to the design of metal rubber isolator and its applications.
