Threshold characteristics of equivalent leakage area of train body dynamic air tightness under background of Beijing-Shanghai high speed railway tunnels

Abstract

Aiming at problems of static air tightness parameters being not able to truly reflect air tightness performance and inside pressure comfort of EMU when passing through tunnels, based on the 1-D compressible non-isentropic unsteady flow model, the generalized Riemannian variable characteristic line method was used to simulate pressure outside train, and the equivalent leakage area method was established to simulate the pressure wave inside train when a high-speed train passing through tunnels. Based on the background of Beijing-Shanghai passenger dedicated line, the varying laws of dynamic equivalent leakage area threshold of a certain type of standard EMU in China with variation of EMU formation length, speed and meeting or not of EMUs were studied, and recommended values of dynamic equivalent leakage area of a single car when EMU meeting different comfort standards at different speed levels were given. Results showed that the minimum value of the equivalent leakage area threshold of EMU decreases with increase in train speed; the most stringent equivalent leakage area recommended values of head/tail car and intermediate car are 10.3 cm2 and 18.9 cm2, respectively to provide a basic technical reference for air tightness design and optimization of each component of high-speed EMU.
