Abstract

In order to realize effective exciting and control of elastic tube bundle vibration in heat exchanger, a new pulsating flow generator was proposed, the test platform of pulsating flow-induced elastic tube bundle vibration was built, and vibration responses of elastic tube bundles in heat exchanger were measured under different working conditions. The results showed that under the inducement of pulsating flow generator, elastic tube bundle mainly has two vibration frequencies, one frequency is basically not affected by inlet flow rate, the other one increases with increase in inlet flow rate; on the one hand, the proposed pulsating flow generator makes vibration intensity of elastic tube bundle increase obviously, on the other hand, the uneven vibration problem of elastic tube bundles is solved to a certain extent.
