Diagnosis method for the eccentricity fault degree of a large synchronous condenser based on vibration characteristics of the bearing seat

Abstract

This paper proposes an online monitoring program to judge the degree of air gap eccentricity by using the double-frequency vibration and vibration amplitude of the bearing seat after the eccentricity of the synchronous condenser. Firstly, the vibration characteristics of the bearing seat after the dynamic and static eccentricity failure are deduced, and it is concluded that both the dynamic and static eccentricity will cause the double-frequency vibration of the synchronous condenser. Secondly, using the double frequency vibration and the vibration amplitude as the characteristic quantities to identify the degree of failure, the calculation formulas for the degree of different types of eccentric failure are derived. Finally, Maxwell finite element software was used to build a two-dimensional model of a 300Mvar large-scale synchronous condenser, and the imbalance electromagnetic force on the bearing seat after different degrees of eccentricity faults was calculated by simulation, and the proposed eccentricity fault diagnosis scheme was simulated and verified. The results show that the scheme can effectively calculate the degree of fault eccentricity, and the greater the degree of eccentricity, the smaller the diagnosis error of the scheme. The proposal of this scheme has great reference value for the online monitoring and diagnosis of the degree of eccentricity faults of large synchronous condenser.
