Design and efficiency study of a new type of stacked rolling two-dimensional piston pump

Abstract

Proposed a two-dimensional piston pump with stacked-rolling structure, its piston reciprocates while rotating continuously. Combining the oil suction and discharge mechanism, the volume changes with the piston’s movement to realize the oil suction and discharge. Based on the analysis of the structure and working principle, established the mathematical model, theoretical analysis and experimental platform to test the volumetric efficiency and mechanical efficiency under different rotational speeds and different load pressures. The experimental results show that when the load pressure is 6MPa, the rotational speed increases from 1000r/min to 6000r/min, the volumetric efficiency increases from 88.5% to 98%, the mechanical efficiency decreases from 93% to 74%. When the rotational speed is 6000r/min, the load pressure increases from 5MPa to 8MPa, the volumetric efficiency decreases from 98.3% to 96.7%, the mechanical efficiency increases from 69% to 79.1%, which verifies the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the feasibility of the piston pump.
