Abstract

The saturated foundation soil model of the overlying elastic layer is used to describe the dynamic response of the foundation with water below the surface, and the change of the water level in the soil is simulated by changing the thickness of the elastic layer. Based on the Biot saturated porous media dynamic equation and the interlayer continuity condition, the displacement field expression in the overlying elastic layer is solved in the saturated half-space frequency domain wavenumber, and the results in the three-dimensional space domain are obtained by Fourier inverse transformation. The results of numerical examples show that the change of water level will significantly affect the wave propagation in the foundation. When the water level is deep from the ground, the vertical displacement of the ground is close to that of the elastic half space. Then, as the water level increases, the reflected waves on the interface between the elastic layer and the saturated half space will affect the vertical displacement of the ground, and the surface displacement will gradually decrease until the water level is close to the ground, and the displacement change is close to that of the saturated soil foundation.
